Blackwell Mobile Veterinary Services, Ltd in Lake Villa, Illinois is a full service companion animal practice. We began as a mobile practice and we are still able to provide housecalls if the client prefers. We serve clients in Northern Lake County, Illinois. Our emphasis is on quality lifetime care of your pets, including preventative care, all aspects of medicine and surgery, radiographs, ultrasound, dental care including digital radiography, senior care and breeder services. Dr. Blackwell has a special interest in orthopedic surgery, including cruciate ligament procedures, patellar luxation, OCD and fracture repair and management. Therapeutic laser is also available for pain management and rehabilitation post surgery or injury.
Although we stock a full pharmacy for the convenience of our clients, the VetSource program allows clients to fill prescriptions online at their convenience. Prices are comparable to other online pharmacies, such as Pet Meds Express. However, since the prescriptions are filled through an actual veterinary pharmacy, all manufacturer guarantees will still be valid and the products are authentic, which is not necessarily true with some online "pharmacies".
